Content of Course
From 25 November 2019, the new briefer, principles based SRA Accounts Rules became effective. This was the culmination of the SRA's Reform Programme, designed to make compliance for solicitors simpler and more cost effective. Now that Reporting Accountants have grappled with the intial implementation of the Rules and reporting on periods spanning the change, what can we learn from our initial experience of the new Rules?
This course provides more experienced member of the team with an understanding of:
- The impact of the new Accounts Rules one year on;
- The key procedures require to support the new opinion prescribed by the Rules;
- How to tailor work to ensure an efficient and effective approach;
- The types of breaches which should or should not result in a qualified report; and
- Common issues identified on file reviews;
- The impact of Covid-19
This course focuses on the practical issues that firms face using our experience conducting cold file reviews and dealing with questions on the technical helpline.
