This course provides attendees with a clear understanding of the types of scheme that may require an audit, an overview of the detailed requirements and specialist terminology of this sector and an overview of the work they will undertake to allow them to effectively prepare and audit occupational pension scheme financial statements.
- An overview of the UK pensions environment and legislation, including the Pensions Acts 1995 and 2004
- The requirements of the Pensions Regulator
- Financial reporting of legislation and the SORP
- An overview of how an audit is planned, performed and reviewed, focusing on risk areas specific to pension schemes
