Content of Course

This course is designed for any experienced audit staff joining your practice. (New trainees should attend the HAT B Course instead. This course explains how the HAT system approaches an audit under ISA (UK) and covers planning, risk, materiality, tailoring your audit approach and maximising efficiency, before giving a brief overview of the fieldwork stage and then explaining how the assignment should be finalised. The course also give a brief introduction to the completion of audit exempt assignments under the Manual. This course should be attended regardless of whether your firm uses the HAT Manual in paper form or within CaseWare. Attendees from firms using CaseWare should also attend the afternoon course as well as this provides a practical explanation of the software used. Please note that it is mandatory under Audit Regulations for new staff to be properly inducted into the audit system used.
