Content of Course
This course enables attendees to effectively plan audit assignments using the HAT Manual to ensure compliance with the requirements of the International Standards on Auditing (UK) and ensure audit fieldwork is as efficient as possible. The course covers the following:
- The objectives of ISA (UK) regarding audit planning
- Overview of the key stages of planning and the work required to complete each stage effectively and efficiently
- The concepts of significant risk and performance materiality and how these affect the audit assignment
- Detailed case studies allowing attendees to complete or review each stage of planning
- Common pitfalls identified by HAT reviewers and how to avoid these
