Getrude Nota

Getrude’s major areas of responsibility are:

  • Presenting our quarterly technical update meetings
  • Carrying out quality control file reviews
  • Working on the technical helpline

Getrude studied at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), South Africa where she graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting Science with Honours in Taxation in 2014. She was a financial accounting tutor at Wits. Before embarking on her accountancy career, she became a secondary mathematics teacher for a term in 2015. She joined Baker Tilly Central Africa in December 2015 for her accountancy training and progressed to technical manager by October 2018 and she was involved in internal and external training of the firm. She was admitted into the Institute of Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe in March 2019. Post qualification, moved to the UK in May 2019, and she was an assistant manager at KPMG Reading. She then joined Grant Thornton Milton Keynes as a manager looking after a diverse client portfolio with industries including technology, real estate development and manufacturing. She was involved in training in both roles.

Outside work Getrude enjoys trying new food and watching movies.
