Our Team



David White David’s varied role includes presenting courses, conducting quality control file reviews and supporting firms on our technical helpline. David joined the team in October 2018 and brings a wealth of experience having joined from SWAT/Mercia group.

Roles and Responsibilities

David’s major areas of responsibility are:

  • Presenting our quarterly technical update meetings
  • Writing and presenting other courses covering audit and related issues
  • Carrying out quality control file reviews
  • Working on the technical helpline
  • Writing technical manuals

David graduated from Magdalen College Oxford in 2004 with a Masters in Mathematics. He trained as a Chartered Accountant at the St Albans Office of a medium size firm (which went on to become WMT LLP) and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ACA) in March 2008. During his time there he progressed to supervisor specialising in pension schemes and was seconded to a sister firm in Australia. David then went to EY for a short contract. After EY David then moved to Harris and Trotter LLP Chartered Accountants in London, for 4 years working his way up to Audit Manager. During his period at Harris and Trotter LLP David increasing got involved in technical aspects including working with BDO in getting a client ready to list. He then moved on to Citroen Wells working for the technical partners on a number of clients including the firm’s clients transitioning to FRS 102. He then moved to SWAT (which is now controlled by Mercia) as a Practice Consultant. As a Practice Consultant he performed file and consultancy reviews, has written articles, dealt with a wide range of technical queries and delivered training in a wide range of areas.

David's interests revolve around his young family and he enjoys Fencing in his spare time.
