Adam’s roles and responsibilities are:
- Presenting quarterly update meetings
- Carrying out file reviews
- Writing and presenting other courses covering audit and related issues, including Career Development courses
- Working on the technical helpline
Adam joined the HAT team in June 2021, having spent 16 years working in practice at independent and top 20 firms similar in size to many HAT members. This background ensures that Adam is ideally placed to work with and assist member firms, with his first-hand experience of the issues and challenges that they face.
Adam’s career started as a school leaver with a small firm in Northampton. He completed his training at Haies Watts in Bedford, becoming a member of the ACCA in October 2009. Post qualification, Adam joined Keens Shay Keens (now part of MHA MacIntyre Hudson) in Milton Keynes, working his way up to Senior Manager in the audit and accounts department, looking after a diverse portfolio of general practice clients. Adam spent the final two years of his career in practice at Moore Kingston Smith’s West End office, continuing to work in general practice and with increased involvement in internal training within the firm. Prior to joining HAT, Adam spent a year at the University of Northampton, completing his degree studies, graduating in the summer of 2021.
Outside work, Adam loves to escape to the mountains as he is a keen skier and qualified ski instructor. He also plays guitar and is a kickboxer, with the goal of achieving his black belt in autumn 2027.
