Vimbai’s major areas of responsibility are:

  • Carrying out quality control file reviews (hot and cold)
  • Writing HAT technical factsheets
  • Designing and delivering bespoke training on accounting, audit and financial reporting
  • Supporting firms with complex accounting and technical matters
  • Contributing to the technical helpline

Vimbai brings real-world compliance and technical expertise, supporting small to large practices across the UK, including firms auditing clients preparing accounts under IFRS.

She combines deep technical expertise with a pragmatic, hands-on approach, enabling firms to navigate complex requirements, remain compliant and convert regulations into clear, practical actions. She keeps pace with developments in audit technology and methodology. Her approach is built on professional scepticism, discipline, and collaboration, ensuring her advice is both technically robust and commercially practical.

Vimbai began her career in South Africa, where she trained with Mazars and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA). She later relocated to the UK in 2019, joining KPMG, where she continued in external audit alongside training responsibilities.

In 2022, she joined PKF Littlejohn as an Audit Manager before moving to BDO in 2023 within the Audit Quality Directorate. There, she performed hot and cold file reviews, contributed to audit methodology, supported the technical helpline and delivered training. Throughout her career, Vimbai has worked on medium to large, listed entities across a range of non-financial sectors, including construction, retail, manufacturing, real estate and technology. She has consistently focused on enhancing audit quality and has played an active role in supporting the professional development of both peers and junior team members through coaching, training and on-the-job guidance.

In 2025, she joined HAT Group as a Technical Advisor.

Outside of work, Vimbai enjoys travelling, cooking, and staying active, recently taking up run/walk sessions (shuffling).
