Submission of SRA Accountants Reports

The process of submitting qualified SRA Accountants Reports to the Solicitors Regulation Authority has been amended. Reports should now be submitted via a mySRA account as detailed here

Although the responsibility for submitting the report has, and will continue to lie with the solicitor, many Reporting Accountants submit the report on their client’s behalf. We understand that it is possible for this practice to continue but the Reporting Accountant must first set up a mySRA account.

We understand that the SRA will continue to accept emailed Accountants’ Reports up until tomorrow (30 September) but after that emailed accounts will be rejected.

The new reporting mechanism requires the selection of a specific Rule for each breach identified and allows submission of supporting documentation (this will normally represent a narrative summary of the breach, supporting documents such as ledgers are not required).
