Start your career in Finance – become a Chartered Accountant or Chartered Certified Accountant

Each year, we help recruit 50+ trainees to join accountancy firms to train them as chartered accountants or chartered certified accountants. One of those places could be yours!

There are two intakes each year in January and August, with August being the largest. Most vacancies are in central London, but there are also opportunities in other locations across the UK. See current trainee vacancies for further details.

Why Apply to HAT

We understand that the graduate recruitment process for candidates can be arduous and impersonal.

HAT can offer you a different experience. Our Recruitment Associate Director will be your personal guide throughout the application process, ensuring you are matched to the right firm and providing you with interview tips tailored to your strengths and areas for improvement.

In addition to a competitive annual salary ranging from £29,000 to £32,000 per year for a central London firm, our firms cover all your training and examination costs with a leading tuition provider. They will give you paid study leave to attend college during the working day and prepare for examinations. You will also attend high-quality, practical courses written and run by HAT (these are not normally available if you choose to train with a small firm). But it’s not just about courses; you will have a lot to learn in the workplace too. By training with a HAT firm, you won’t spend months on one section of the same audit and feel like a cog in a machine. You will soon be responsible for completing a range of assignments including accountancy, audit, and providing business advice to a wide variety of clients. You will receive support every step of the way, from your training partner exam, your tutors, colleagues and from the HAT team, which is why, on average, 92% of our students pass first time!

When To Apply
