ISQM (UK) 1 has been effective for a few years now, but regulatory feedback indicates that a number of firms struggle to grasp some of the key concepts, which include:
- Establishing the firm’s quality objectives
- Identifying and assessing quality risks
- Designing and implementing appropriate responses
- Designing and implementing ongoing monitoring activities
Under ISQM (UK) 1, firms can no longer rely on an “off-the-shelf” audit procedures manual; instead, the framework demands a much more proactive, risk based, and iterative approach, with risk assessment forming the core of the system.
Over this two-hour course, we:
- Clarify the key requirements of the standard
- Highlight the areas that require the greatest focus Explain how to comply with the standard in a practical, scalable way
- Provide example documentation to support implementation
