Have you assessed how the new Charities SORP and revisions to FRS 102 impact your clients? Are your clients aware of these changes so they can prepare effectively?

The Charities SORP 2026 applies the new requirements arising from the periodic review of FRS 102 to charities and makes several other important changes, including the introduction of three tiers of disclosure driven by a charity’s income.

We have now reviewed the revised SORP in detail and identified key changes, which include:

  • The need to follow FRS 102 requirements for leases entered into at commercial rates, bringing the lease liability onto the charity’s Balance Sheet
  • Key changes to leases entered into below market rates, including the requirement to recognise a reduction in lease rental as intangible income
  • Impact on recognition of income for charities providing services in exchange for income through adoption of the IFRS 15 / FRS 102 five-step model
  • Significant changes in the content of trustees’ reports for the smallest and largest charities

This three-hour webinar provides a practical explanation of these changes to allow you to effectively brief clients and support them through transition. Presented by Adam Loake, author of HAT’s Charities methodology, and HAT’s Managing Director and experienced charity lecturer Andrew Jarvis, we also summarise other changes impacting the charity sector, including expected changes to audit and independent examination thresholds.

This webinar will qualify as 3 hours of verifiable CPD. A recording will be provided after the course to anyone who books to attend.
