 Academy assignments are often time-pressured and complex, with a wide range of sector specific regulations and reporting requirements to navigate. In this 45 minute session, Andrew Jarvis, author of HAT’s Academies Methodology: 

• Provides an introduction to the academies sector 
• Explains the role and expectations of the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) 
• Outlines the key components of an academy’s annual report 
• Highlights the main reporting and audit considerations unique to academy engagements 

This course is ideal for anyone with a basic understanding of auditing and charity financial reporting who is new to academy assignments or looking to refresh their knowledge. 

Participants also receive access to a 15 minute update session covering the latest changes introduced in the Academies Accounts Direction, ensuring teams are fully up to date before starting their next assignment.
