Brexit uncertainty affecting audit reports

The continuing uncertainty posed by Brexit has started to have an impact on audit reports. KPMG have included a Brexit uncertainty paragraph in the audit report of Anglian Home Improvements Group Limited.

Where an audited entity is significantly impacted by Brexit-related uncertainty, consideration should be given to including something similar. However, auditors should not adopt a blanket approach to such disclosures; these must be considered on an entity by entity basis and must be in accordance with ISA (UK) 706 Emphasis of Matter Paragraphs and Other Matter Paragraphs in the Independent Auditor’s Report
